The academic year of 2021 has officially concluded on June 30 after schools presented reports to over 92,000 students marking the first time in the country’s history that an academic year began and ended in the middle of a calendar year.
The academic year of 2021 was split into two terms with the first term being carried out from August 10 to December 23 last year, and the second term was carried out from January 16 to June 30.
Despite the challenges from COVID-19 pandemic in the past year, the academic year of 2021 was successfully concluded with minimal disruptions. The Ministry of Education has begun distributing books and resources to schools in preparation for the new academic year which will begin on August 7th, 2022.
