Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has 52 development projects currently ongoing across all atolls in the Maldives, as revealed by CEO Adam Azim.
Speaking at Raaje TV’s Falasuruhee program, Azim said 52 development projects are currently ongoing by MTCC and this is double the average from previous years.
This includes development of 2 airports, 32 harbor development projects, 7 road construction projects and construction works of 2 hospitals.
He stressed the importance of maximizing the capacity of MTCC by utilizing its resources as best as they can. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of the employees hard at work even during the pandemic to complete these development projects.
Azim further revealed that MTCC has created more than 350 employment opportunities via its development projects. More than 100 employment opportunities were created at Fuvahmulah alone.
Azim assured that MTCC wants to bring quick and complete development to the Maldives and the government has full trust in the company to achieve this vision.
MTCC aims to finish the works of Faresmaathodaa Airport by November and Mulee Airport by February 2022.
MTCC completed a record number of projects last year and had the highest revenue recorded since its inception.
