The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has announced the appointment of Abdulla Saeed as the new Managing Director of the State Trading Organisation (STO). The certificate of appointment was presented to Saeed by PCB President Asim Mohamed during a ceremony held at the Ministry of Finance. At the event, the PCB shared information about the PCB Act and Corporate Governance, and discussed the company’s goals in relation to government policies.
Before assuming the role of Managing Director at STO, Saeed served as the Managing Director of the Maldives State Shipping Company Private Limited. His appointment to STO came after the removal of Hussain Amr on March 26.
