Nearly 8,000 people have received a booster shot, or a third dosage, of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Maldives.
According to the most recent Health Protection Agency (HPA) vaccination statistics, 250 people in the Greater Male Area received a booster dosage on November 23, while 404 people in residential islands received the booster shot.
By November 23, the total number of people who had gotten a booster dosage throughout the country had reached 7,947.
The HPA data also showed that 395,470 people had received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 362,742 had been fully vaccinated.
The Maldives began administering a booster dosage on October 3, using the Pfizer vaccine as the booster shot.
