Another fatality from COVID-19 has been recorded in the Maldives.
This time, a person who was receiving treatment from Hulhumale’ Covid facility died last night.
Information stated by the health ministry stated that the person who died was aged 80 years old male. Upon the tragedy of last night, the number of Covid related deaths in the country rose to a tally of 71.
A total of 64 Maldivians passed away with 7 foreigners during the one years’ time.
The first death from Maldives was recorded on last year April, and the current situation has driven another death within a span of a week from Maldives.
Maldives are starting to see a rise in Covid cases again with 2735 active cases and within this, 69 people need intensive care from hospitals.
