The Auditor General’s Office and the National Audit Department of Malaysia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the field of public sector audit of the Maldives and Malaysia.
Auditor General of Malaysia, Datuk Nik Azman Nik Abdul Majid signed the agreement on behalf of the National Audit Department of Malaysia. Auditor General Hussain Niyazi signed the agreement on behalf of the Auditor General’s Office.
Speaking at the ceremony, Niyazi said the signing ceremony will increase cooperation between the two institutions and create several opportunities to enhance the knowledge, skills and capabilities of the employees.
As part of the agreement, the two institutions will work together to strengthen public sector governance and the field of public sector audit. Moreover, training opportunities, knowledge, experience and the best practices will be shared between the two institutions.
