British Airways, the United Kingdom’s second-largest airline and national carrier, has reintroduced direct flights to the Maldives.
The airline often begins direct flights to the Maldives during the UK’s winter season, which runs from November to March.
According to the Maldives Airport Company Limited (MACL), British Airways will operate daily direct flights to the Maldives.
The flights would operate from Heathrow Airport in London to Velana International Airport until the end of the winter season.
With 17,391 tourists reported so far this year, the UK has been one of the top source markets for Maldives tourism.
