The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has announced that its Chief of Defence Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal, has left for the Dubai Airshow 2021.
The UAE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Hamad Mohammed Thani, invited Major General Shamaal to visit Dubai.
The Dubai Airshow is taking place from November 14 to 18, and it will be attended by representatives of the worldwide aerospace sector.
During his visit, the defence chief is joined by a delegation of high-ranking officials of the MNDF. Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Firdaus, Principal Director of the Directorate of Administration and Personal Services, and Major Mohamed Shinan, Staff Officer of the Bureau of the Chief of Defence Force, are among the delegation’s members.
This year’s event includes pavilions from more than 20 nations, as well as an aircraft show of more than 160 commercial, military, and private jets. The newest aircraft, including the Boeing 777x and Bombardier’s Global 7500, will be on show.
