Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced that the COVID-19 centre at Dharubaaruge convention centre will be closed from March 24.
The COVID-19 centre at Dharubaaruge was first opened during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic two years ago, and had remained open to provide crucial information and provide health services related to the pandemic. The national task force formed to respond to the pandemic during the lockdown was also headquartered there.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih announced the decision to lift the State of Public Health Emergency earlier this month after two years.
