The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported an additional 1,091 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 35,815.
According to the HPA, 791 cases were registered in the last 24 hours, with 300 cases coming from the backlog.
There were 933 incidents recorded from the Greater Male’ Area, 147 from inhabited islands, and 6 from operational resorts.
As of 18:00 on May 9th, the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the country was 35,815 of which 26,299 patients had made full recoveries.
Currently, 250 patients are receiving hospitalized treatment for the virus across the country, with the majority of the hospitalized patients located in the Greater Male’ Region.
