The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has recorded 1,204 positive cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, an increase of 133 cases from yesterday.
According to HPA statistics, 961 of the 1,204 cases were reported from the Malé region, while 235 cases were reported from inhabited islands. There were also 8 cases from operating resorts, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 10,376.
Today, three COVID-19-related deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of deaths to 87.
The total number of COVID-19 cases reported in the country had reached 37,019, with 26,547 patients having fully recovered.
Currently, 244 patients are receiving hospitalized treatment for the virus across the country, with the majority of the hospitalized patients located in the Greater Male’ Region.
