Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Thursday, reported an additional 124 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 21,268.
As reported by HPA, the 124 new cases includes; 100 cases from the Greater Male’ area, 13 cases from islands outside Male’, 11 cases from operational resorts, and no case from liveaboards.
Meanwhile, 18,695 people have made full recoveries in total.
Maldives currently has 2,502 active cases and 157 patients are being treated in Hospitals and Medical Facilities while 64 COVID related deaths confirmed so far.
Maldives started COVID-19 mass vaccination program on February 1. HPA states 11,474 individuals were inoculated today and 5,459 were from the atolls.
186,930 individuals have now been vaccinated under the program.
