Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Monday, reported an additional 125 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 20,919.
As reported by HPA, the 125 new cases includes; 103 cases from the Greater Male’ area, 9 cases from islands outside Male’, 13 cases from operational resorts, and no case from liveaboards.
Meanwhile, 18,253 people have made full recoveries in total.
Maldives currently has 2,595 active cases and 179 patients are being treated in Hospitals and Medical Facilities while 64 COVID related deaths confirmed so far.
Maldives started COVID-19 mass vaccination program on February 1. HPA states 6,170 individuals were inoculated today and 3,984 were from the atolls.
157,813 individuals have now been vaccinated under the program.
