Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Sunday, reported an additional 131 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 20,794.
As reported by HPA, the 131 new cases includes; 92 cases from the Greater Male’ area, 10 cases from islands outside Male’, 29 cases from operational resorts, and no case from liveaboards.
Meanwhile, 18,124 people have made full recoveries in total.
Maldives currently has 2,599 active cases and 166 patients are being treated in Hospitals and Medical Facilities while 64 COVID related deaths confirmed so far.
Maldives started COVID-19 mass vaccination program on February 1. HPA states 5,875 individuals were inoculated today and 3,827 were from the atolls.
151,643 individuals have now been vaccinated under the program.
