Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Wednesday, reported an additional 136 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 20,280.
As reported by HPA, the 136 new cases includes; 124 cases from the Greater Male’ area, no cases from islands outside Male’, 10 cases from operational resorts, and 2 cases from liveaboards.
Meanwhile, 17,595 people have made full recoveries in total.
Maldives currently has 2,615 active cases and 187 patients are being treated in Hospitals and Medical Facilities while 63 COVID related deaths confirmed so far.
Maldives started COVID-19 mass vaccination program on February 1. HPA states 5,759 individuals were inoculated today and from that 3,792 were from the atolls.
129,424 individuals have now been vaccinated under the program.
