Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Sunday, reported an additional 140 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 22,513.
As reported by HPA, the 140 new cases includes; 102 cases from the Greater Male’ area, 17 cases from islands outside Male’, 14 cases from operational resorts, 1 case from island under development and 6 cases from liveaboards.
Meanwhile, 20,004 people have made full recoveries in total.
Maldives currently has 2,436 active cases and 95 patients are being treated in Hospitals and Medical Facilities while 66 COVID related deaths confirmed so far.
Maldives started COVID-19 mass vaccination program on February 1. HPA states 267 individuals were inoculated today.
218,912 individuals have now been vaccinated under the program.
