Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Wednesday, reported an additional 142 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 21,961.
As reported by HPA, the 142 new cases includes; 112 cases from the Greater Male’ area, 11 cases from islands outside Male’, 19 cases from operational resorts, 0 case from island under development and 0 case from liveaboards.
Meanwhile, 19,519 people have made full recoveries in total.
Maldives currently has 2,371 active cases and 118 patients are being treated in Hospitals and Medical Facilities while 64 COVID related deaths confirmed so far.
Maldives started COVID-19 mass vaccination program on February 1. HPA states 1,366 individuals were inoculated today.
215,852 individuals have now been vaccinated under the program.
