Health Protection Agency (HPA), on Tuesday, reported an additional 165 cases of COVID-19 infections in the Maldives, increasing the tally to 20,144.
As reported by HPA, the 165 new cases includes; 132 cases from the Greater Male’ area, 13 cases from islands outside Male’, 19 cases from operational resorts, and no case from liveaboards.
Meanwhile, 17,470 people have made full recoveries in total.
Maldives currently has 2,605 active cases and 186 patients are being treated in Hospitals and Medical Facilities while 62 COVID related deaths confirmed so far.
Maldives started COVID-19 mass vaccination program on February 1. HPA states 6,550 individuals were inoculated today and from that 4,445 were from the atolls.
123,665 individuals have now been vaccinated under the program.
