The Maldives has reported 120 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) said, making it the fifth day in a row that daily cases have surpassed 100.
According to HPA data, 49 positive cases in Greater Male were detected from 5,639 samples collected in the previous 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 36 people from residential islands tested positive for COVID-19, with a total of 35 positive cases discovered from operational resorts.
The overall number of people in the Maldives who have tested positive for COVID-19 has reached 94,564, with 92,351 recoveries.
According to data, the number of active cases in the Maldives is presently at 1,939, with 261 fatalities documented since the start of the pandemic.
