The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 1,204 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the Maldives in the past 24 hours. The highest daily tally so far as the surge continues.
Official records show that 575 cases were confirmed in Greater Male in the last 24 hours, while 408 cases were confirmed in other inhabited islands.
Furthermore, 155 cases were confirmed at operational resorts, and 04 cases from liveaboard, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Maldives to 103,581.
Meanwhile, 97,238 patients have fully recovered and 26 patients are being treated in hospitals.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 fatalities has reached 265.
Currently, 397,179 persons have gotten their first dosage of the COVID-19 vaccination, 368,751 have been completely vaccinated, and 32,527 have received their booster dose.
