The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has extended the curfew levied on the Greater Male’ Area by another week.
The one-week curfew that was enforced on April 12th has been extended by another week, until April 25th, according to a directive released by HPA today.
Following the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, the Greater Male’ Area was subjected to a curfew on April 12th from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. Furthermore, restaurants and cafés were closed for dine-in service, but delivery was permitted until midnight.
Yesterday, Maldives reported 1,433 new cases, with four more deaths, taking the total COVID-19-related deaths to 101.
