According to the Ministry of Tourism, the daily average of visitor arrivals in the Maldives is currently over 3,000.
The current daily average of tourist arrivals in the Maldives is 3,113. This is the first time since April that the daily average has surpassed 3,000.
Tourist arrivals fell in May and June due to an increase of COVID-19 cases, with a daily average of 2,084 in May and 1,872 in June.
According to tourism ministry figures, the country has reported a total of 65,382 tourist arrivals thus far in July. This has already surpassed the previous month’s total of 56,166 arrivals. Furthermore, the tourism ministry revealed that a tourist spends an average of 9 days in the Maldives.
In the first seven months of 2021, the Maldives attracted 575,931 tourists. Russia has provided the greatest proportion of tourist visitors to the Maldives, accounting for 23.8% of all arrivals. India is second with 16.5%, while Germany is third with 5.5%.
