The severely decomposed body of a human being has been found near a lagoon in Vaavu Atoll.
According to Maldives Police Service, reports of a dead body floating near the Vemparu Lagoon in Vaavu Atoll were received at 9:03am today.
They further added that the body has been recovered, and that further investigations are ongoing.
