Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the design and construction of the harbor development project in Dharanboodhoo, Faafu Atoll, is nearing completion, with an overall project progress of 88 percent.
The harbor bridge at Dharanboodhoo has been finished, according to MTCC, and building of the breakwater is presently underway, with 83 percent progress.
The project entails 46,600 cubic meters of dredging and excavation, as well as the building of a 253-meter quay wall, a 410-meter breakwater, and a 64-meter revetment.
As part of the project, 2,500 square meters of paved space and harbor lights will also be installed in Dharanboodhoo.
The Dharanboodhoo harbor development project is valued MVR 40.2 million.
