Dhiraagu renewed its corporate membership with the Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC), on Thursday, to continue participating on the humanitarian organization’s operations.
The membership was renewed during a ceremony commemorating the MRC’s 12th anniversary. Dhiraagu was the organization’s first corporate member.
Dhiraagu will give technical and financial assistance to the MRC as part of the corporate membership. According to Dhiraagu, the collaboration will strengthen the organization’s relationship with Dhiraagu and broaden its reach.
According to MRC Secretary General Fathimath Himya, the relationship with Dhiraagu helps to provide support and assistance to every corner of the country during times of crisis and normalcy, as well as to train volunteers for their units in various regions of the country.
Dhiraagu provided assistance to the MRC during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the installation of a specific hotline for foreigners seeking aid and the supply of communications services.
