A dispute between two expatriates in B. Undoodhoo resulted in a stabbing on Thursday, leaving the injured man in critical condition.
Maldives Police Service stated that they received a report of the attack around 2157hrs on Thursday night. Police added that a 45-year-old expatriate was stabbed and is currently receiving medical attention in B. Atoll Hospital. Moreover, the man is in critical condition following the stabbing.
B. Atoll Hospital Director, Mohamed Waheed, told local news sources that the expat had been brought to the hospital on Thursday night with multiple stab wounds. The man has undergone a surgery and currently in recovery, according to the hospital.
Police have arrested a 43-year-old expat over the attack and the incident is currently under investigation.
