All tourist facilities must utilize the “Fahiway” app for tourism employees, which will be formally introduced in June 2022, the tourism ministry has said.
The “Fahiway” app from the tourism ministry is a platform that links tourism workers with tourist facilities, exchanging information about employees and employment opportunities in the tourism industry.
With the debut of the “Fahiway” app, the tourism ministry will have access to information on all resorts, guesthouses, hotels, and safari staff, easing the compilation and regulation of the list of tourism employees.
The app was supposed to be officially released this October, but the tourism ministry said the delay was due to the need for extra time for tourist establishments to register their information.
In response to the issues detected with the app, the tourism ministry decided to raise awareness of the app among tourist facilities, and six months were also allowed beginning in October to integrate the tourist facilities’ finished HR systems with the app.
Although the app has not yet been formally released, the facilities are actively providing information to the portal and are cooperating, according to the tourism ministry.
According to the tourism ministry, the app will further facilitate the settlement of difficulties experienced by employees and tourism facilities, and the complaints of workers in the industry can be quickly detected and remedied.
