‘Fenaka Family Quran Competition 1443’ has officially commenced today with the Quran recitation of participants from Zone 1 (Shaviyani and Noonu Atoll).
The Fenaka Family Quran Competition is organized by Fenaka’s recreation club every Ramadan and it is the fifth edition of the competition. This year’s competition will have participants from 4 zones.
The competition will be categorized based on age in addition to a specific category for Fenaka employees. The age group is categorized as 6 years and below, 13 years and below, 16 years and below, and 18 years and below. Moreover, each group will be split into two categories; recitation from copy and recitation from memory.
Three winners will be chosen from each age group with the first place winner receiving a prize money of MVR 15,000, the second place winner will receive MVR 10,000, and the third place winner will receive MVR 5,000. Three selected lecturers from Islamic University will be judging the participants.
The main aim of the competition is to promote literacy in the Quran and encourage its recitation, and memorization, and apply its spirit in life. The competition is committed to connecting the young generation to those who recite the Holy Quran and build stronger bonds among Fenaka employees and their families, according to Fenaka.
