Fenaka Corporation has implemented the minimum wage which saw 80 percent of its employees receive salary increments.
Fenaka stated that 3,340 employees have received salary increments due to the minimum wage implementation. This includes 495 laborers, 1,952 technical officers, and 700 supervisor-level employees. Moreover, they had to overhaul the whole payroll structure to implement the minimum wage.
Some employees received MVR 5,590 as salary before the implementation of minimum wage, however, after the implementation of the minimum wage, it has now increased by MVR 3,000 to MVR 9,222 in total.
Fenaka has a total of 4,000 employees and operates powerhouses in 150 islands.
