Fenaka Institute for Training and Research (FITR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Maldives National Skills Development (MNSDA) to register the institute as a national trade testing center.
As part of the agreement signed with MNSDA, graduates of FITR will be able to receive the accredited certificates much faster upon course completion. Moreover, this enhances future development opportunities for Fenaka employees to build upon the knowledge they have gained from the institute’s courses, according to Fenaka.
FITR was formed by Fenaka Corporation, a state-owned utility company providing electricity, water, and sewerage all across the Maldives, in October 2020. The institute specializes in developing dedicated and skilled professionals and awarding them with certificates upon course completion.
FITR is currently training Fenaka employees in National Certificate Level III of Electrical Installation and Maintenance with the Utility Regulatory Authority’s General House Wiring license awarded upon course completion. Moreover, the institute plans to organize courses such as National Certificate III in Sewerage System Operation and Maintenance, National Certificate III in Utility Laboratory Technician Service, and National Certificate III in Water Supply System Operation and Maintenance.
