A temporary United Kingdom Visa Application Centre has been established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is now accepting visa applications.
The visa application center, according to the foreign ministry, would gather biometric enrollments and papers from all applicants who have made prior appointments. The visa application center will be open from the 2nd to the 4th of August.
The UK opened the visa application center at the request of the Maldives government to make the visa application procedure easier, particularly for students travelling to the UK for higher study.
According to the foreign ministry, this is part of the government’s broader efforts to improve and strengthen consular services for Maldivians.
