Tourism Minister Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has announced that fully vaccinated resort employees will be able to return home without being quarantined.
Minister Mausoom tweeted on Wednesday that resort workers who have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine will be permitted to return to their home islands without being quarantined, with the exception of islands or resorts that are under monitoring.
Employees in the tourism industry will be able to travel with a negative PCR test 14 days after the second dose has been completed.
Furthermore, Mausoom stated that the details would be shared with the resorts after obtaining information from the Health Protection Agency.
The President’s Office will hold a press conference at 14:30 to announce additional relaxation of COVID-19 limitations.
