Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the internal road construction project for Fuvahmulah City is 50 percent complete.
According to MTCC, the installation of settling tanks and an electrical junction box is now underway, with 71% and 70% progress, respectively.
The project includes 122,659 square metres of sub base preparation, 95,239 square metres of asphalt wearing course, 27,450 square metres of footpath preparation, and the installation of 19,940 meters of road marking, streetlights, as well as storm water drainage works.
The road development project is expected to cost MVR 271.3 million.
