The development of internal roadways in Fuvahmulah City is approaching completion, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) said, with an overall progress of 70 percent.
According to the company, the installation of a stormwater drainage system as part of the road construction project began on December 6.
The project will involve subbase preparation of 122,659 square metres, an asphalt wearing course of 95,239 square metres, and footpath preparation of 27,450 square metres.
Road marking, lamps, and storm water drainage works totalling 19,940 metres will also be completed as part of the MVR 271.3 million road construction project.
