President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurated on Tuesday a digital platform for obtaining services from government departments rather than physically visiting the place.
The National Center for Information Technology (NCIT) held the “gov.mv message” service’s launch, which was attended by key government officials. The new platform is meant to improve access to government services.
This is the first time a system that promotes digital interactions between government institutions and the public has been created, following the establishment of the Government E-Letter Management System (GEMS) in 2010.
Aminath Shauna, Minister of Environment, Climate Change, and Technology, remarked during the event that the new service will modernize communications and enhance convenience.
She further mentioned that the platform has a dashboard that allows users to view the number of documents sent to government agencies in real time.
