Government has announced the opportunity to submit bids to develop 55 guesthouses and 7 city hotels, as part of the government’s pledge to develop 8,000 tourist beds in Addu City.
Addu City Council has allocated 3.7 hectares in Hithadhoo to construct 19 guesthouses and 2 city hotels. Moreover, 3.2 hectares were allocated in Feydhoo to construct 12 guesthouses.
Furthermore, 4.65 hectares were allocated in Hulhudhoo to construct 13 guesthouses and 2 city hotels, while 3 hectares were allocated in Meedhoo to develop 11 guesthouses and 3 city hotels.
The land will be leased to a maximum of 50 years according to the Addu City council.
