Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that work on the design and construction of shore protection structures at Ha. Dhihdhoo is still underway, with an overall project progress of 73 percent.
The project is being undertaken to protect the shores of Ha. Dhihdhoo from coastal erosion.
Furthermore, the project includes backfilling of 7,750 cubic meters of sand, the filling of 1,926 cubic meters of geo bags, and the building of a 310-meter geo bag revetment to avoid coastal erosion.
The Ha. Dhihdhoo shore protection project is expected to cost MVR 10.02 million.
