Housing Development Corporation (HDC) today inaugrated an community urban training program targeted for the winners of urban farming proposal.
48 plots of land will be allocated from Hulhumale’ for community urban farming project and are only eligible for residents of Hulhumale’.
The webinar held today included Fisheries Minister Zaha Waheed, Japan’s Ambassador to the Maldives Keiko Yanai, UNDP’s Resident Representative Akiko Fujii, and HDC’s Deputy Managing Director Ahmed Athif.
Speaking at the webinar, Fisheries Minister asked all participants to use this opportunity wisely and make it a successful initiative.
Moreover, HDC’s Deputy Managing Director Ahmed Athif said this program will provide useful information to the participants.
The Community Urban Farming project is funded by generous aid from the government of Japan.
