The Ministry of Higher Education and UNDP have collaborated to create a digital library that is open to all students at local colleges and universities.
The higher education ministry said 14 local colleges and universities were awarded with subscription credentials to access the JSTOR library.
According to the higher education ministry, the digital library would enable access to over 12 million academic journal articles and other types of books.
Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, the higher education minister, stated that such a library would be advantageous to students and lecturers, and that having access to a JSTOR library will raise the standard of higher education to a new level.
