Fenaka Corporation Limited has supplied an extra generator set (genset) to Hithaadhoo, Baa Atoll, to assist with the island’s energy difficulties.
According to Fenaka, as part of ongoing power upgrading initiatives throughout all Fenaka branches, Baa Hithaadhoo acquired a 400 kW genset.
Fenaka noted that the island has been facing inconsistent electricity, a lack of capacity, and blackouts from time to time, which has created significant problems for residents and guesthouse businesses.
The utility company stated the new generators will provide a long-term solution to the island’s electricity problems.
The generator that was delivered to the Hithaadhoo branch will be placed as soon as new power lines are linked to the new powerhouse, which is nearing completion, according to Fenaka.
