Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the shore protection project in Hoarafushi, Haa Alif Atoll, is nearly finished, with a 68 percent overall progress.
In July 2021, the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure awarded the shore protection project to MTCC.
The project includes the construction of a 280-meter-long geo bag breakwater.
The Hoarafushi shore protection project is worth MVR 6.39 million.
