Health Protection Agency (HPA) has cautioned public to stay vigilant to prevent viral diseases from spreading when travelling during the holidays.
HPA reported that the number of cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, asthma and eye diseases has increased in the Maldives. In addition, dengue and other diseases are also likely to spread. HPA stated that there is no COVID-19 outbreak in the region these days, but the disease is spreading in some countries.
HPA urged the public to take extra measures to prevent these diseases.
