India has donated two military field ambulances to the Maldives.
The ambulances were handed over to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) during a special ceremony held at the MNDF Headquarters on May 25. The ambulances were handed over by the Defence Advisor of India to the Maldives Captain Mahesh Chandra, and received by the Surgeon General of MNDF, Colonel Dr. Ali Shahid Mohamed.
The handover ceremony was also attended by Chief of Defence Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal. Speaking at the ceremony, the MNDF chief thanked India for the continued assistance to develop the resources and capacity of MNDF.
