India’s EXIM Bank is seeking interested parties to develop Hanimaadhoo Airport with the capability of landing large aircrafts.
This project is funded under Indian government’s USD 800 Million line of credit facility, the agreement was signed during President Solih’s official visit to India in 2018.
The development of Hanimaadhoo Airport will be completed in two phases. The first phase will include a 2460m runway and expanding the airport to be able to land aircrafts such as Airbus 320 and Boeing 737.
By the end of second phase, the airport will be able to land aircrafts of the stature such as Airbus A330.
The project is expected to be completed within two years.
Interested companies from India are encouraged to submit a bid before April 22nd.
