Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) has revealed that they are investigating a case where an individual received two different COVID-19 vaccine shots.
In a press conference held on Thursday, HPA Director Ahmed Nasir said that the health authorities were investigating the case and that they are monitoring the status of the person who had been administered two different doses of the vaccine. Moreover, he stated they were also seeking WHO’s advice on the matter.
Director Nasir further stated that there had been no reports of health complications arising from similar cases elsewhere in the world. He added that studies supported the theory that a vaccinated person would receive similar benefits despite receiving two different vaccines.
He ensured precautions will be taken to avoid similar cases in the future.
