The Ministry of Economic Development has opened a Job Centre in AA. Bodufolhudhoo.
As part of the agreement between the Ministry and the Bodufolhudhoo Island Council to create the Job Centre on the island, services from the economic ministry’s business portal and expatriate system must be given on the island in addition to creating a job center desk.
The Ministry also stated that after completing the appropriate training programs, council members and employees would be granted access to the expatriate system. It anticipates that the business site would make life easier for the island’s business owners.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih recently stated that if there are Maldivians registered in the Job Centres registry who meet the qualifications for such occupations, companies would be unable to hire foreign employees in the future.
