Manchester City extended their winning run to 15 in Premier League after beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-1 at Etihad Stadium. This result means they are now 15 points clear at the top of the table.
Manchester City took the lead inside the first 15 minutes when Leander Dendoncker put the ball into his own net. First half was controlled by Pep Guardiola’s side and just before half-time defender Aymeric Laporte scored from a Riyad Mahrez cross which was later disallowed for a marginal offside by VAR.
Wolves levelled the match with their first touch of the game inside Manchester City’s penalty box in the 61st minute after Conor Coady headed the ball into the net from an impressive free kick by Joao Moutinho.
In the 79th minute of the match, Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus took the lead from a close-range effort and just 10 minutes after this Riyad Mahrez made it 3-1 with a goal into the bottom corner. Gabriel Jesus scored his second goal of the game inside the stoppage time after a VAR review ruling him onside after initially being flagged for offside.
