The Maldives Police Service has confirmed that the local woman detained in connection with the death of a Filipino nurse has been remanded for 15 days.
According to the police, the local lady was detained in police custody for 15 days after being hauled before the Criminal Court for a remand hearing.
On October 9, Mary Grace, a female Filipino hemodialysis nurse at IGMH, was found dead. The investigation into her apparent suicide resulted in the arrest of her husband, Marvin, a 29-year-old Filipino ER nurse at IGMH.
According to media sources, the arrested local woman, Lamha Abdul Rahman, 24, allegedly had a close relationship with Marvin. She also works as a nurse at IGMH.
She was arrested yesterday under a court order, according to police, but no other details were provided.
