A local woman was found dead with stab wounds to her neck in a guesthouse at K. Gaafaru last night.
According to local sources, a knife was found next to the body but it is unclear whether the wound was self inflicted or an attempt at murder. Moreover, locals at K. Gaafaru has speculated that the guesthouse had signs of break-in or forced entry.
However, Maldives Police Service has not confirmed further details except that a dead body was found at the guesthouse and are currently investigating the case.
