Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the land reclamation work on Maafushi Picnic Island in Kaafu Atoll has been finished.
The land reclamation and shore protection project for the development of a picnic island in Maafushi began on November 8.
According to the company, the first shipment of rock boulders required for shore protection has been delivered to the project site.
The project’s scope of activities includes 2 hectares of reclamation operations and shore protection.
The project to develop Maafushi Picnic Island is valued at MVR 10.8 million.
